Help with the station garden please!
I'll be at the garden at 2pm with a few little helpers. If you have any spare peas or beans which are already growing please bring them along. Its been a bit of a bumby start this year so I'm hoping to get things moving from this week onwards. Its my plan to be at the Station garden each Sunday around 2pm. All welcome...
This grass roots project is one of hundreds of communities around the world working to (re)build local resilience, and start to make a transition towards a more sustainable way of life. Wivenhoe is a town of over 10,000 people on the River Colne in north Essex, England.

Well here they are! This enthusiastic team of volunteers turned an overgrown peice of scrub land into the beginnings of Wivenhoes wildlife garden, and it looks great! The Saturday 'A' team cleared the area which included a 20'' tree. most of the branches and trees from the site have been used to mark the pathways, deadwood has been used to maintain Stag Beetle habitats. The next stage will include wildflower planting and digging the pond.
