TransWiv UPDATE

Hello again and just a quick update on Transition Wivenhoe activities since the last newsletter.

Low Carbon Communities Challenge - outcome.
Sadly we were not shortlisted for this, after several months of intense work. But, the good news is that the research and partnership building we have done, with Colchester Borough Council, Wivenhoe Town Council and others, such as the Energy Savings Trust, is far from wasted. We are already looking at other ways of delivering low carbon projects, so watch this space!
Thank you to all who responded to offer support in the event of us getting shortlisted and needing to turn out at very short notice to impress the assessor.

Transition & green drinks, chat, social. All Welcome, 2nd Thursday of month from 8pm @The Greyhound, next one Feb 11th, hope to see you there.

The TransWiv Food Group are holding their first Seed Swap at the Farmers Market Saturday 20th Feb, Congregational Hall, so dig out your unwanted seeds and go swap!  Other projects are in the pipeline. Get in touch with Julia Millan if you are interested to find out more about the project. Tel 826015 or email: celticmama_45[at]hotmail.com
